About Us

Wayne started his career for a very well known boat builder as a carpenter and coach painter. Since then he has become well known and respected in the northwest. Wayne provides the carpentry and cabinet making skills and also continues to provide the superior coach painting he has become well known for.

Tim started his working life in the hire boat industry and progressed to working for a well known boat yard and engine manufacturer. After a number of years fitting engines and equipment in canal and sea boats he felt that it was time to move on. Tim provides the engineering and electrical skills, ensuring the end product runs smoothly.

After a chance meeting with Wayne and fitting an engine for him, they realised that together they could provide a complete marine service.

  They were both frustrated about the quality of boats produced by other companies and they knew they could build a much more superior quality craft that would last a lifetime.

Together they started Bourne Boat Builders with the financial help of Mr. H Bourne.

They have expanded their team with the addition of Adam Park who provides metal fabrication and shell building skills exclusively for Bourne Boat Builders.

Together they represent over 35 years experience in the boat building business.
